Finding a visual language for a global neighborhood

Doraville is one of the most culturally rich areas in metro Atlanta. Home to Buford Highway, it’s a corridor known for its diverse eateries, markets, and small businesses. But despite its global influence, many new developments in the area lacked a sense of place. Our challenge was to craft a brand that reflected the energy, diversity, and adventure of living at Camino.

The Challenge

Camino needed to feel unmistakably connected to Doraville without performing it, welcoming both longtime locals and newcomers. We immersed ourselves in the streets, food, businesses and visual language of Buford Highway, building the brand around the optimism, warmth and beautiful collision of cultures that make the area what it is.

Born out of movement

Camino means path or journey, a fitting idea for a community shaped by people, cultures, and stories from all over. It gave us a simple strategic thread: Camino could be both a home base and a starting point. A gateway into the neighborhood, and a place to begin whatever comes next.

We partnered with muralist Angie Jerez to bring the story to life on the property’s exteriors, incorporating the brand color palette.
